The 5th edition of International Jarek Smietana Jazz Guitar Competition takes place in 2023, the year marking a significant anniversary of the great guitarist’s passing.

The 5th edition Programme:
April 15th - opening of registration
August 15th - registration deadline
September 5th - announcement of the twelve guitarists admitted to the semi-finals in Krakow
October 19-20th - semi-final auditions at the Krakow Philharmonic's Golden Hall and announcement of the six finalists admitted to the finals
October 21st - the finals and the winning results announcement
October 22nd - Prizewinners and Stars' concert at the Main Stage of the Krakow Philharmonic
This year, just like 2 years ago, the Competition will be taking place at the Krakow Philharmonic Hall.
The 2023 edition jury members are: Peter Bernstein, Romain Pilon, Marek Napiórkowski, Karol Ferfecki and the competition's director, Witold Wnuk.
